This course is designed for new learning designers who need guidance as they step into their new roles. Based on my own experience as a learning designer and supporting others in the field, I created this training to help them to navigate the complexities of instructional design. Using the Addie Model as a framework, this course will walk the learner through the essential steps of developing impactful training. To make these concepts relatable, I’ve created a storytelling experience following the journey of two characters, Mel and Peter. Throughout the course, they face challenges that align with each phase of the Addie Model, solving them based on the key principles of instructional design. In addition to the story, the course provides practical PDF materials, including checklists for each phase, to support the learner in applying the steps as they learn. By the end of the course, the learner will gain a solid understanding of the Addie Model and how to develop meaningful, effective training programs from start to finish.
